Default Legal Weapons in NYS

I've been trying to compile a list of legal weapons that someone could have for the use of self defense in New York State and so far the only thing I have come up with in a cane.

Does anyone else have any ideas?

Here is some information I was able to find about what is illegal in NYS:

An umbrella works well and some are built with ballistic armor.
