Default Another use for flamethrowers

Long ago I read in a newspaper that a report had come across an account of "humane flamethrowers" used as an antiriot weapon, and naturally understandably the reporter and I refused to believe it.

But more recently I have heard of cases of flamethrowers being filled not with their usual contents, but with a 1/200 solution of teargas in water: see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Converted_Flamethrower_40 .

(Here, CN does NOT mean cyanide, but phenacyl chloride https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phenacyl_chloride .)
