Default Types of shoulder support

The image at that link is the film prop / fictional laser gun used in the film Fantastic Voyage. By the look of it, its back end is intended to carry some of the gun's weight on his shoulder and steady the gun without needing to absorb recoil. Have any of you seen such a shoulder support on a real gun, or on any two-handed handheld power tool?

Here is the laser gun from Fantastic Voyage

There are some shoulder hooks on competition guns like this.

But I've not seen anything like it on an everyday type gun. It may not be legal for all I know.
