Use to watch this as a young teen during the 60's..love seeing a handful of Americans in a couple jeeps get the best of the Afrika Corp. This actually the very first episode from 1966..vintage stuff.

Sure the Rat Patrol was a lot more Hollywood than fiction but still it was fun to watch. Here is a video of the "real" desert fighters and their vehicles of the Long Range Desert Group during WW2. Being an old fart has it's advantages..
