Add on a scope and you have one fine weapon..would love to be able to fire on fully automatic.

Would be nice to have it in .308.
I understand the desire to be historically accurate, but I don't know why manufacturers don't make the repos in more available calibers.

Years ago a company manufactured some StG44 repos and chambered them in 7.93x33mm. Why not make them in something that is still readily available like 7.62x39mm?

A few years ago I got the chance to handle a Bren gun reproduction...that thing was friggin cool

But both the 7.92 kurz and the 7.92 standard are still commercially available.
Several countries in Eastern Europe had a warmaking industry thta the Germans built during the war and used that as the basis of their arms manufacturing.

As a result standard german calibers from the war have been manufactured even until now and some are not terribly expensive

Yes, the 7.92 Kurz is still available ....but not readily available. I can't run down to my local gun/sports shop and pick up a box.
