I stand behind Romney on this. Why should PBS (as great as it is) get federal dollars to keep running. Aren't they always running telethons to raise money anyhow? If a network cannot sustain itself without Federal dollars then maybe it needs to go. We need to stop the spending and borrowing and sometimes it's going to hurt.

Big Bird needs to stop living on Government Welfare and get a paying job. Big Bird set a bad example for all our young folk that living off the government is a good thing, when, it's really a bad thing

Good article. it just reinforces my position. There are probably an infinite amount of other similar programs that need to be cut.
