Default Glock mods

The Glock mods have begun.

Started with swapping out the sights for Advantage Tactical. Too early to tell but so far I am liking them.

Just ordered a Zev Tech adjustable fulcrum trigger & a Zev Tech extended mag release.

Also ordered from Glock a beavertail back strap and mag extensions.

Sounds like a great start.. how is the quality on the zev tack stuff, I use OEM parts for extensions.

This will be my first experience with that manufacturer. Everything I have read on the Glock forums and competition forums it's the brand to use. So far their customer service is beyond fantastic. Answered my questions and even talked me out of buying one of their products. Placed my order yesterday and it shipped yesterday.

Installed the Zev trigger, firing pin and mag release. Trigger feels great. Much smoother take up and a crisp break. The mag release I can now drop a mag without changing my grip. Range report to follow next weekend.

Finally was able to shoot it after adding the mods. What a difference the trigger made. Silky smooth with a crisp break. I will be adding one to my G20.

Would it pass the prosecutors test as a bad gun. Range gun or CCW gun.

I do not know what a prosecutors test is. This is a range only/competition gun. The trigger setup is too light for CCW. To use this setup in a CCW I would change the striker spring, safety spring, and possibly the trigger spring. In the 5-6lb range this would make a great CCW trigger. So much smoother than stock.

Update on the Advantage Tactical sights. After shooting two matches with them they are coming off. For me the front sight is too wide. On silhouette targets 15 yards and closer they work well. Out beyond that and the front sight covers the entire target. Tough to get alpha hits when you can't see the target. On steel the 10" plates at 7-10 yards were doable. Smaller plates or longer distances were a challenge.

Ordered a set of Dawson Precision sights to try next. Hoping they will be a good combo of speed and precision.
