Default Flying with my firearm

I guess that this is a good place to put this and if not please move it to the right place. I'm thinking about flying back east sometime the first of next year and I want to get a good safe for my handgun, what kind to look for? Thanks for all of your comments.

A GREAT BIG ONE, so they might possibly not loose it. Must be capable of handling two locks though.

I really like the Pelican Travel Vault. They make a handgun version that runs around $55. I have seen it on the Cabelas webpage.

Be sure to check local laws for the location you are going. States like NJ it's a felony to have hollow point ammo.
