Default which safe to buy, and where?

i have been looking for a safe recently and i started looking at stack on. i found this to be a good size for me.

Stack-On | Products | 14 Gun Safe with Electronic Lock

any other suggestions and where can i find one that wont take 3 weeks to get delivered? i really like the electeonic keypad so that is a must. i was also looking at the sentry safes. input please, but lets keep it to the 14 gun size. i will not be storing 14 guns, but the littl extra space is perfect for storing our other stuff.

If you have a Tractor Supply store near you, they carry safes too. At least you can use them as a comparison to anything else you're looking at. I was fortunate enough to have a local safe builder and got one of their safes. Incredible quality but it was $2400.

I see Tractor Supply sells Stack On safes as well.

Good job on deciding to go bigger. My first safe was a 24 gun Champion "Medalist" that I bought from Scheels Sports. They used a forklift to set in the back of my RAM, and 2 buddies and I were able to get it in the house after we took the door off. If you have access to a truck and a couple friends, getting a 600lb safe home doesn't really require a delivery service.

I won't hold 24 long guns, but for a starter safe it worked just fine.

Here is their website. They have dealer listed on their website.

My 600 lb safe was delivered by one person.Having the right tools to do the job makes a difference. The shipping was from Florida to FRF. Bought at local gun store.

Get as big a safe as you can comfortably afford. You'll find all kinds of things you need to lock up. Also, for the preppers out there. Your safe is essentially a big Faraday cage. Keep any electronics in it for use after an EMP. Far fetched?.....probably, but if something like that does happen, hopefully your radio will still work. I keep my handheld HAM radio in the safe so I know where it is and to protect it.
SWSS and hotrodpc like this.

Ohhh yes. I keep all kinds of stuff in mine. Computer HDD back ups, car titles, divorce docs, birth certificates, my narcotic meds, back up keys to the house and vechilces, jewelry, cash stash when I had one, a couple photo albums, blah blah blah,
