My Saige AK47 build

Picked up this Saiga un converted AK so I could do the work myself. I love tinkering. Pics.





The first thing I did was change the front hand guards. I actually owned the hand guards before I got the gun.

I was pretty hungry when I got done.


Next thing was to get the bullet guide and file the mag catch so I could use regular AK mags.



Next thing I'll have to do is move the trigger group forward and install a new butt stock.
I'm going for a stock like one of these:

In the end I could have bought an already converted AK much cheaper but where's the fun in that?

Besides I have a little surprise headed my way hopefully this Friday that will satisfy the AK purists.
