That whole region of the world is sick. They've only been killing each other since the beginning of their existence. Hiding behind women and children while doing their dirty work and then crying foul when we kill one of them. Fuck every one of those camel riding, goat fucking, turbin wearing, sand snorting pieces of shit!

You must not like them, and what do you have against goats and camels. Yosser Arafat was prof that a humans and camels could have sex.

WASHINGTON — The CIA has been delivering light machine guns and other small arms to Syrian rebels for several weeks, following President Barack Obama's decision to arm the rebels.

The agency has also arranged for the Syrian opposition to receive anti-tank weaponry like rocket-propelled grenades through a third party, presumably one of the Gulf countries that has been arming the rebels, a senior U.S. intelligence official and two former intelligence officials said Thursday. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the classified program publicly.

The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal first reported the lethal aid.

Ten years from now we will probably be fighting those same damn rebels for control of Syria...against American weapons. See how history repeats itself.

Well, considering we gave Saddam the chemical weapons to use against Iran in the 80s. Then had supposedly had to go into Iraq to destroy them in 2003. Probably those same chemical made it into Syria and now Assad is using them.
We should just keep our noses out of the petty little wars all over the world.

The US administration is coming out of this looking like war-mongers and the Russians are looking like the reasonable ones seeking peaceful solutions.

If we actually had a interest in truly helping them I'd be all for it. What's 1000 people dead from chemical weapons compared to the 100k dead since the civil war began? The greedy fucks that run this country see the opportunity to put some one else in power that will line their pockets even after they're out of office. Don't worry about the fact that we'll have to fight them in the near future but that will be someone else's problem since they'll no longer be in office.

Why help any of those people anyway? They despise every thing about us and would/will kill us any chance they get. I say we should stir up a bunch of shit over there, put up some bleachers, pop some popcorn and enjoy the show. Their going to continue killing each other anyway so we may as well help them where they truly need it.

Sigh. This is why I avoid political shit for the most part. If I had my way the herd would be a lot thinner...

Heck, you can make chlorine gas in your kitchen easy enough. And more than 100,000 WWI casualties agree that it's effective.

Another problem with "intervention" in these civil wars is that we keep using "humanitarian suffering" as an excuse.
OR that say that we are helping spread freedom and democracy.

What our government fails to mention is that we prop up many totalitarian regimes around the world with pretty dismal records when it comes to humanitarian and civil rights.
Any intelligent world citizen can see through these weak arguments.

And in Syria, we don't even know who the rebels are for the most part. The Assad regime may be bad, but at least we know who we are dealing with.

It is a shame that innocent people are suffering and dying in this civil war, but quite frankly there is nothing that we can do to make it any better. There is no right answer, any action/or inaction will only bite us in the ass down the road.

As Concealed 27 referred to, we cannot be the policeman of the world.

Oblama aint going to be happy until the whole world comes under sharia law.
That is what all of them rebels is fighting for, it will be the radicals that finally win out, fighting each other until there will be but one muslim religion left, then the whole of the middle east will be under sharia law, except for Israel, Americas ONLY ally in those parts.
Oblama needs to git his head out of his ass, pull any American support from those nations, support Israel, bring Our troops home and secure OUR borders. no amnesty, to anyone, unless they come through the border in a legal fashion and apply for citizenship the legal way. point OUR rockets outwards and pay Our troops to shoot anyone that sticks their heads over the fence.
