Anyone else shooting the USPSA Area-1 match in May. I just found out today I got pulled up to a sponsored squad and will be shooting with the big dogs. Not sure how that happened but I better get busy on my training.

I am currently a "C" shooter in Limited. Just found out that the weekend before this match I get to do a two day training session with Ben Stoeger. That should help.

Nice sounds fun,any gssf matches coming near y'all soon? In gonna shoot in st Augustine at the end of the year..... there are a few others I might shoot in titusville also in a few months.....

We have 2 GSSF matches this summer within a 90 minute drive. I will shoot them both with my wife. She enjoys them. After shooting USPSA for the last several months I kind of find them boring now. lol. See if I can win another gun. Finally got my G30 that I won at the August match.

Shooting my last local match Saturday before the big match next week. I am as ready as I can be. Three days of shooting starting on the 16th. Looking forward to it.

This is my first major match. There are a total of 400 shooters. 12 stages/courses of fire. I am stoked!

Well my first major match is in the books. Didn't go as well as I had hoped. Overall I finished 227th out of 400 shooters and 12th in my division. I made some dumb mistakes and had 9 misses for the match. I learned a lot. I was squadded with Eddie Garcia. Not only one of the top shooters in the country but also a great guy. We shot 14 stages over 3 days. Lots of very tight shots. We also had two of the top junior shooters on our squad. Those kids are amazing. At 15 one of the kids is already a Master. Crazy fast.
