They compare gun ownership to cigarette smoking. They claim that higher cigarette taxes led to reduced smoking. And the same should be applied to guns and ammo. But they forget that cigarettes are not protected by the constitution. Whereas, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

443,000 deaths from tabacco. 50,000 of those from second hand smoke. Has is this not a big deal. 10,000 gun related deaths annually get the presidents attention but 443,000 die and is no big deal. Hmmm

I agree but it is just not as exploitable as mass shootings. Plus, the big fight against tobacco has already happened.
