I believe I already predicted this.

http://dailycaller.com/2013/01/07/u...ax-on-guns-ammunition-to-reduce-gun-violence/

They compare gun ownership to cigarette smoking. They claim that higher cigarette taxes led to reduced smoking. And the same should be applied to guns and ammo. But they forget that cigarettes are not protected by the constitution. Whereas, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

I guess they forgot that more people have died from doctors and nurses that don't wash their hands.

Here is a tasty tidbit of information that is never reported in the media.

http://www.cdc.gov/tobacco/data_statistics/fact_sheets/health_effects/tobacco_related_mortality/

443,000 deaths from tabacco. 50,000 of those from second hand smoke. Has is this not a big deal. 10,000 gun related deaths annually get the presidents attention but 443,000 die and is no big deal. Hmmm

Because this does not kill multiple people at a time in a way that the media can exploit it for gain. If it was possible to get people riled up over this the media would be.

Plus, I wonder how much the government makes from the tobacco industry. They aren't going to risk that cash cow.

443,000 deaths, that is more than 1200 per day, 24 per state every day. Those are crazy numbers.

Understand what you are saying. No hype for the media to jump on. Politicians are stepping over $100 bills to pick up a penny. Retarded
