Im not sure whats going on

hi. I recently pulled an old .22 from my grampas stash, sears n roebuck, idk year, and the ammo i have doesnt fit. The barrel is clearly at least 1/2 a mm under the round i tried, "standard" .22 . Anyone ever hear of this? Thanks.

Scrub barrel well with a good solvent and wire brush.

Take some pictures of it. Get close ups of any writing or markings on it so we have something to go by. You're not trying to fit a .22 magnum into a .22 LR gun are you?
