plz help a newb gun owner

I would go to the rainge if I could and shoot all the guns I could and then start the dision prosess. I with I knew some one at a rainge that I could go shoot a bunch of diffrent guns. bring your friends shoot theirs good luck. that is just my .2 cents I've never shoot a pistle but would like to. take that back have shot a .22 pistle at a pop can. never did hit it.
