Hey guys! I just wanna seek help from you. I'm planning to buy a sword but I don't have enough knowledge on what to buy and how to check its quality. Any suggestions here is highly appreciated.

With some of the crazy laws that have passed in CT in the past two years, you probably need to determine what is legal and not legal to use (if not buying for decorative reasons), would hate to see you go to jail for 25 years because they may be legal to posses, but illegal to use in any capacity including self defense

Like to find one of those WWII Japanese officer swords for my war room but so much Chinese fake crap out there it's hard to determine what is legit and what isn't...something around thousand bucks for my budget but like I said a lot of fakes on the market.
