That SS MKII is beautiful, I'm a fan of them too.

Would love to find one in SS for a sane price.

My hunting handgun

I am 73 years old and physically impaired as a result of a bad auto accident 24 years ago. I found that carrying a pistol to hunt with was much easier than trying to tote a rifle. A number of years ago I purchased my first Thompson Center contender handgun with a 30-30 cal barrel. since barrels are interchangeable on Contenders I have through the years purchased many different calibers of my Contender. I have taken my last 5 deer and a wild hog with the Contender using a 6 tcu barrel, a 30-30 ackley improved barrel and a 6 mm jdj barrel. I have also owned a MOA maximum single shot pistol in .308 winchester that I took a deer and a wild hog. I have scoped all these handguns with Burris 3X12 eer scopes. My first buck was taken at 195 yards facing me. The 80 grain bullet took him in the center of the chest and he only went about 40 yards before going down. These pistols are very accurate. As accurate as a rifle with a good rest. The only thing you lose is some velocity.
