i was using both. and they both werent ejecting cartridges correctly

I'm sure you have the same ammo I had. I was going to take a pic of it, but I just gave it to my dad yesterday to use in his .22LR ACP and Revolver. The ammo never ftfire, just ftfeed in the 10/22 mags.

i was also using better ammo as well. we had the 550 box of federals and then switched to remingtons that were small game rounds. both of them did not eject right. i also noticed that the casings were always getting stuck in the same spot. the rim of the cartridge always got stuck when the slide moved foreward again.

what kind of ammo do you others use with your 10/22?

Seems you and I have both the same Ammos. I know the Federal was a problem, but it seemed I also had a problem with the Remington bulk ammo, but not near as bad. Next time I'm going with CCI Blazer Bulk ammo. Reviews say it's the same as Mini Mag without the jacket, and Mini Mags shoot flawless in all my 10/22, no matter what mag I use, the OE rotary, Steel Lips or Hot Lips. I know not to buy anymore Hot Lips. I've got 2 Steel Lips, 2 Hot Lips, about 8 OE Rotary mags, and I've got 2 BX-25's on the way that I got ordered just before the price went to $80 each IF you can find one now. I got mine for $26 and I got the only 2 the guy had at that price. Then he went up to $79 each.

I use CCI mini mags almost exclusively. I've had problems with just about everything else. Well over 1000 rounds of the mini mags without a single issue. Every time I stop in a place that has them, I buy at least a couple hundred rounds.

so i got the cci mini mags at an outrageous price.... but they seem to work. i had a few jams but not like before. its just that the bullets have some wax crap all over them.

How old are you mags? You say you're using both OE Rotary and the Aftermarket Banana mags?

I myself want to get some BX25 mags just for the fact, they can be taken apart and cleaned. I have seen OE Rotary 10 rounders get gunked up and fail too.

That doesn't sound bad for cci minimags. I usually spend $7/100. I've never seen them in a box of 375.

I bought a box of 375 the other day at a academy. I'll snap a pic tomorrow and put it up. I thought it was odd also

I'm not sure I mentioned this here or not, but will again, just in case. According to reviews, the CCI Blazer Bulk Ammo is 525 round for $20 at Academy with 5 star Reviews and said to be CCI Mini Mag without the jacket. Feeds well in 10/22 and SR22, and is accurare. They do also mention the waxy coating though too IIRC. As soon as I see this stuff in stock, I intend to get 3-4 boxes of it. I wanna be Zombie ready.

Yes, they can be. You can usually tell what will work and what won't. Need something that with a very rounded nose and all is well. Anything kind of A pointed at all, will have problem. Like Federal Bul for example. It's almost A point and can't feed. That's been my experiences anyway. The rounded nose ammo works best.
